Hi, I'm Zeldara109, self-declared Lady of Incompleteness etc., and welcome to my alternate profile page. Enjoy!

Random advice:  Zeldara's random advice on editing SMW bosses (since unmodified bosses are boring):

- For any boss edits you make, keep the boss arena easily accessible for testing. (A savestate before entering the pipe/door leading to the room works fine.)

- Lemmy and Wendy are easily modifiable (just leave the pipes in the same locations). Big Boo is even more modifiable.

- For Reznors, insert manual sprite A9 (4 copies), and set SP3=25 for correct graphics. This will allow you to use them in a normal level. (Be careful to leave the disappearing-bridge row blank, though-- otherwise, the blocks will become not-solid while remaining visible... Though if you don't have any Reznor battles in the original arena, you can hex-edit x1D91B to 5 or more to disable the disappearing bridge.)

- Hex-editing x286E1 will change which music plays by default in boss battles. (Great if you're using custom music.)

- If your boss happens to be in an ice or water level, you can always use the appropriate setting. (Or you can make them all slippery, but that seems somewhat artificial difficulty to me.)

- If you change a Mode7 battle's level mode (Mario head button) to something other than 09, 0B, or 10, you can edit the sprites (don't bother editing objects though, they won't show up). Good for adding/moving Iggy/Larry's Podoboos, or adding generators. (Just make sure to change the level mode back afterwards, or you may end up with Mario immediately falling to his death...)
- (Note that adding a non-generator sprite to the Morton/Roy battle will cause Mario to glitch up and be pushed into the left wall, making the battle impossible without fireballs. (No idea why that occurs.))

- Of course, most sprite graphics (if they're tileset-specific sprites) will appear glitched... (Using Super GFX bypass to combine tilesets will affect Mode 7 battles... but you'll need to apply something such as the Boss ExGFX patch to avoid glitching up whatever comes next (overworld or castle destruction scene).)
- (It's safe to add a standard Bullet Bill generator (sprite D5) to Koopaling battles without ExGFX, though. Also, you can add certain types of Paratroopas to the Iggy/Larry battles without a problem.)

- All of the bosses' HP (and Iggy/Larry's knockback distance) are in the ROM map, so those are fairly easy to hex-edit. (You can edit things like their movement speed as well, but be very careful if you do, since there may be surprising results...)

- There are quite a lot of hex-edits you can use for modifying Bowser, considering how complex the battle is. (But be careful, of course. (And for some reason, only the enemies Bowser throws can damage him-- if you make Peach throw a Mechakoopa or make them fall from the sky, they won't hurt Bowser.))

ASM:  - flyingyellow2up.asm
This patch changes the flying yellow 1up sprite into a flying yellow 2up. I thought it should be worth a different value since it's a different color.

- IntroLogoMusic.asm
This was the first ASM patch I created. It makes the intro logo play level music (the castle theme by default). Only works with original SMW music though, not custom music.

- Blue Paratroopa hex-edits
If you'd like to add blue Paratroopas to your SMW hack, try making these hex-edits: change xA9D4 to 06, and x3F609 to 06. This will change sprite 0B (red horizontal Paratroopa) into a blue Paratroopa, allowing you to use all 4 colors in a single hack without custom sprites. And unlike a simple palette edit, these blue Paratroopas will walk faster if stomped and allow Yoshi flight if eaten. (I've even made an IPS patch for those of you who don't like hex-editing.)
